EFT Energy wins Competitive Irish Navy Tender

EFT has again joined forces with ESB Electric Ireland to win the high profile Irish Navy Tender. EFT is now in the process of commissioning EnergyTracked which will be installed in all of the Navy’s Patrol Vessels. EFT will be supplying TCP/IP Optimiser Dataloggers combined with the latest cutting edge enterprise software. Real time monitoring of electrical and oil consumption on each vessel will form the cornerstone of their ambitious plan to drive down energy costs and reduce carbon emissions.

The fleet comprises one Helicopter Patrol Vessel (HPV), three Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPV), two Large Patrol Vessel (LPV) and two Coastal Patrol Vessels (CPV). Each vessel is equipped with state of the art machinery, weapons, communication’s and navigation systems. The Flagship of the Irish Naval Service is the L.E. Eithne which a HPV.

 

The NS Fleet keeps the tradition of naming its vessels after famous women from Irish and Celtic mythology. Currently the Naval Service operates eight ships listed below.

The L.E. before the ships names means Long Éireannach or Irish Ship.
