EFT together with ESB Electric Ireland are delighted to have just won another competitive tender. This time located on Ireland’s North West coast. Letterkenny IT secured a significant grant through The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) and as part of this grant; capital was made available for a Monitoring and Targeting System.

LYIT have an ambitious plan regarding energy conservation, and will be putting 90 metering points on the system initially with a further 40 to be added in early 2012. Their ultimate aim is to have 300 metering points feeding onto the system.

LYIT have opted for EFT’s hosted solution utilising the AcquiSuite TCP/IP datalogger combined with EnergyTracked online software.

Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT) is located in Letterkenny, County Donegal. It is a third level institution serving County Donegal and the North West of Ireland. The institute is usually known locally as the Regional. Today, it is one of the largest places of third level education anywhere in Ulster. It is the only Republic of Ireland Institute of Technology (I.T.) to be located in Ulster.
